REGULAR GYMS ARE A DIME A DOZEN
 

 

Welcome to Training Day Gym Burwood and Clayton.

We don’t really see ourselves as a regular gym, or fitness centre. Think of Training Day Gym as a recreational training facility, with a focus on strength, performance and functional training, we think training should be fun & positive.

Pushing through, when something heavy tries to keep you down - is what we do in the gym, it’s also what we do in life. So as you get stronger and fitter in the gym, you’ll realize that life can be much better, when you’re fit enough to enjoy it.

We place your satisfaction above all else, because we want you to love this place as much as we do. Within our uplifting atmosphere, you will do two things; challenge and improve. So instead of telling you we are the best, we ask you to come in, and tell us where we can improve. So we can remain the best gym you’ve ever been to. We do however, expect the same from you!

 

Training Day Gym Burwood is minutes away from Box Hill, and down the road from Deakin University.

 

Training Day Gym Clayton is minutes away from Monash University Clayton, and M-City.

OUR FACILITIES


All of our facilities cater for both novices on one end, and elite athletes on the other. Doesn't matter which end of the scale you're on, we aim to get you to the top.

 

THE PLAYGROUNDS

For all of your functional & performance training needs. From monkey bars, to ropes, farmers walks and sled tracks. Training should never be boring, so we would really like you to get off the stationary bikes, and have a bit of fun in these areas.

RACK CITY

Cages made by Rogue, calibrated steel plates, power bars, deadlift bars, a Glute Ham Raise and a whole lot of chalk. We have over 23 squatting stations between our 2 facilities. That says a lot about us.

CARDIO AREA

A great place to start if you're just getting into training, or to burn some calories. Traditional cardio is boring. That's why we've got rowers, ski-ergs, curved runners and Airdyne bikes. If you don't know what they are, then let us show you.

LIFTING ZONES

Tons of flooring had been laid down to prepare for what you're about to do to those poor weight plates. All of our facilities cater for Weightlifting & Powerilfting. These areas will be loud, chalk will be used, and PB's will be broken.

PIN & PLATE MACHINES

Bodybuilders and physique chasers aren't going to be dissapointed either. From pin loaded to plate loaded machines by your big name brands. Also a whole lot of unique equipment you won't find in most mum and dad gyms.

BODY SCANNER & INFRARED SAUNA

Assessment & recovery, two of the most deglected points in almost every training program. How do you know exactly how your body is progressing? What are you also doing to speed up your recovery? Both of these questions can be answered here. A Body Composition Scan, or an Infrared Sauna session can be booked at either Burwood or Clayton facilities.

WEIGHTS N'BENCHES

What's a gym without dumbbells? (We call them smartbells here). All of our facilities have sufficient bench press stations as we know how Monday nights get. Also bench presses that are built to IPF competition spec, and dumbbells over 50kgs.

BAGS & GROUP TRAINING

Sometimes you just need to hit something. These bags are here to keep you out of trouble. If that's not fun enough for you, we've got classes for you to hit them along with your mates.

BARBELLS & WEIGHTS

Barbells may seem all the same to the general public, but calling them the same to a strength & performance athlete, is like calling a soccer ball & basketball the same because they're both round. We understand this, and have specialty bars and weight plates for both Powerlifting & Weightlifting at our facilities.

CARLINE

In July 2012 I started training with Anthony from Training Day Gym. At the time I was 87kg and a size 14. When I started training I made the commitment to myself to eat right and get back to my active self but my trainer helped me achieve so much more.

CLASS VIDEOS

MILITARY FIT

Military style bootcamp. We've made this class
physically torturing and mentally challenging.
And we still couldn't make it boring ;)
Duration: 60min

CORE. RX

45mins of Core & Suspension training.
This class focuses on functional movements,
& high intensity workouts using suspension straps.
Duration: 45min

HIIT

High intensity interval training, using bodyweight
and light resistance. It's fun, challenging and
will make your day better in just 45mins

DYNAMIC YOGA

Do you love a more lively form of Yoga?
One with lots of challenging poses?
Then this is the class for you.
Duration: 75min

TABATA

Our Tabata class can be done with just about anything
20 seconds on, 10 seconds off. Intense, simple, fun.
Get more results, in less time.
Duration: 50min

MUAY THAI BODYFIT

A fun, butt-kicking 75min training session.
Have fun, get fit, and learn Thai Kick Boxing.

CONSULTATION & ASSESSMENTS

Every member is entitled to a complimentary trainer consultatioN upon sign up, where you will receive a program suited to your needs. Our trainer will show you through the program, or to answer any questions you have regarding your training. We do also have the equipment for a Bio Electrical Analysis of your body. For $30 and 10mins of your time, we can find out information such as your body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass & distribution, visceral fat level and your overall fitness age. A great tool to track your results with solid numbers.

PRIVATE TRAINING

It’s hard to see the full picture being inside the frame, therefore even the best athletes need a coach. you always need to take care when taking advice from standard trainers as the industry standard isn't high. TD requires all of our coaching staff to have minimum of 2 years industry experience, or education. From Sports Nutritionists, S&C coaches, Sports Science graduates to Master Rehab trainers, so you know you're in good hands.

INFRARED SAUNA

Detoxify, muscle recovery, increased metabolism, more collagen production the list goes on. While a regular sauna heats the air around you, an infrared sauna heats you directly therefore the effects are multiplied. At the same time, much more bearable. Perfect for post training, relax, turn on some music, sit back and enjoy. A 45min session can be booked online, over the phone or in person. A discounted rate of $15 apply for all members, or $25 for non-members.

GROUP TRAINING

All classes are internally programed by us to ensure they are effective and friendly. They are unique, and are targeted at different components of fitness. Great for those who enjoy a friendly community, and the personalized attention from a trainer. Something we hear very often after the class is "I hate you, I hate this class. I'll see you next week."
